1 MiMA Tower
The 1 MiMA Tower is located at 460 West 42nd Street. It has 63 floors and elevates Related’s acclaimed Five-Star Living to a new standard. The building is developed by Arquitectonica, the same architects who built Time Warner Center in Columbus Circle. First implemented at the Residences at Mandarin Oriental and One Central Park Condominiums, the standard is taken to dazzling new heights at the heart of Manhattan’s most exciting and dynamic neighborhood. Starting on the 51st floor and soaring to the 63rd, One MiMA Tower is a crown jewel collection of extraordinary condominium residences that provide breathtaking panoramas of the city, its bridges, rivers and beyond. One MiMA Tower featuresexquisite finishes, modern glass exteriors and interiors by world-renowned designer, David Rockwell, a private concierge-attended lobby exclusively for condominium owners and their guests, panoramic vistas of the city, and the M Club, a spectacular 44,000 square foot amenity space including a private gym by Equinox, indoor lap pool, basketball court, landscaped sundecks, entertainment lounges, internet café, and more.
Stunning glass architecture
Designed by one of the world’s leading architecture and design firms, Arquitectonica, MiMA is a stunning new addition to the Manhattan skyline. A 63-story glass wall residential tower featuring 50 floors of luxury rentals, 151 tower condominiums plus a new 669-room Yotel’s exciting new retail and dining experiences and the all-new Signature Theatre Center with three separate performance spaces designed by Frank Gehry. “It isn't just pretty, it's also green.” The building is set to exceed LEED Silver certification.
Rentals are available on floors 7 to 50 and condo residences are offered on floors 51 to 63. The floor-to-ceiling glass windows offer stunning views of Manhattan in all its glory. Each apartment has stainless steel appliances and designer finishes.
The most interesting layouts are the JR1 and the two corner bedrooms on the 55th floor. The JR1, a 570sqft apartment facing south, is a small apartment, but is so well designed so that it doesn’t seem to be small at all. The floor-to-ceiling windows give the unit a larger-than-life feeling, not to mention the jaw-dropping views they are framing. The southern view features the Statue of Liberty and even further south Staten Island and New Jersey. It also shows everything from Jersey City up to Chelsea and Midtown, to the Financial District, Brooklyn Bridge and the Empire State Building. The unit is extremely well proportioned with a full sized kitchen, two walk-in closets, a coat closet, a bathroom with a shower stall and a washer and dryer in the unit.
When viewing just the floor plan, it makes you think that the south-facing units would have the best view. Surprisingly, this is not the case. There are not only beautiful open water views, but the unit has also a true “New York City” view over Hell’s Kitchen and the buildings surrounding Central Park. Truly a view to die for. Additionally, the floor plan of the J line is more dramatic with the corner floor-to-ceiling windows with sweeping views of the horizon, a larger kitchen, well-proportioned bedrooms and ample closets.
Even a dog spa
The key selling feature of the MiMa Tower is the M Club: a mix of health, recreation and entertainment amenities for its residents. That means you might never have to leave the building to have a good time, get your work done, entertain yourself, or even get your dog groomed. The 44,000-square-foot space has an 18,000 square foot private residents-only gym with a heated indoor lap pool, boxing room, a full-size basketball and volleyball court, three outdoor terraces with private dining pods and barbecue facilities, party rooms and catering kitchens, outdoor and indoor screening rooms, and an Internet café and business center equipped with iMac computers and a coffee bar. There is also a clubroom and resident’s lounge with a fireplace, game room with billiards, card tables, electronic gaming, bicycle and resident storage. The urban dog care area, Dog City, is a professionally staffed pet spa with indoor and outdoor play areas offering grooming and training facilities, in-home feeding, walking services, scheduled play dates, and more.
